The Fish

“This lake is full of amazing large fish waiting to be caught by you”.

We offer superb specimens of carp up to 50lb and also a rare Mandarin catfish (otherwise known as an Albino catfish) of 70lb. All fish are in great condition.

After all the work to the carp lake was completed, we introduced two stockings of 40 fish – one in December 2009 and the other in January 2010. Since then the fish have been fed on a diet of our own boilies, pellet and particle and are putting on weight well.

We have now introduced a third stocking in january 2011, consisting of 20 carp ranging from 34lb to 39lb all with beautiful scattered scale markings.

Since the fish have been introduced to the lake they have been fed on a diet reccomended by top fish farmers and biologists. This was proven to be very successful when we had a test catch of ten fish in April 2011, with an average weight gain of 7lb and the most of 11 and a quarter pounds. Rough calculations show we should have around thirty 40′s, five to nine 50′s and possibly a sixty pound carp by 2012, fingers crossed. This is why we have decided not to open the lake until then and let the carp keep feeding confidently and keep putting on weight.

The lake is full of large specimen fish that have never been caught before, so are fighting fit and ripe for catching.
