All British holiday makers should ensure that they hold a full passport with a validity of at least three months beyond the travel date. Non British subjects should consult their embassy for information on possible visa requirements.

Getting Here

There a few options for travel.

Folkestone to Calais via a ferry or the Channel Tunnel then a four hour drive through the French countryside to the lake.

The other option is by Brittany Ferries from either Poole or Portsmouth to Caen or to Cherbourg. The journey takes either three or six hours depending on the time of day and time of year.

From Caen it is about an hour’s drive to the lake and from Cherbourg about 30 minutes.
